Proudest Daughter

Just want to brag on my mom...

My mom, Linda Potter, just won an award for excellence in nursing. She was nominated by her peers and was presented with a bouquet of roses, a plaque, and a certificate for being such a top dog nurse. Congratulations!!!

My favorite guests are the crazy ones. I love them! Today we got a new guest that is running from his pigeon friends. I asked what pigeon friends are and he started cooing like a pigeon (this went on for a while). I like listening to the stories that crazy people tell. Lots of times the stories are absolutely hillarious but you feel bad for laughing because the person telling the story is being serious. Anyway, crazy people are great fun! Maybe I like them so much because they remind me of my dad. jk.

I am starting to like being a cleaning supervisor. We had to fire and blacklist a cleaner the other day, but God provided a perfect staff member to take care of the situation so I didn't have to. I would have been in way over my head. I have a lot of room to grow in this position and I am already learning a lot. It is a unique position to be a boss to people that usually live on the street. Lots of challenges.

That's all for now.

Conversations with the crazies can't be that much different than conversations at our family gatherings...you've had years of experience with ridiculous conversations! In fact, you may be overqualified for your position! :)
I too am overflowing with pride in regards to the mom's award...
I'm glad to hear that your job over there has worked out ok...from the sounds of your letters it seems that everything is running fairly smoothly!
I have a student now whose parents are going to move to China for about a year to do missionary work...I told her about you and I think she was encounraged to hear that you settled in so easily to a new culture...set her mind at ease i think. :)
love ya,
jess

You are exactly right! These people are tame compared to a conversation with dad, or Michelle for that matter. Actually, I am the only normal person that came out of our family.

Is your student moving to China with her parents? Kids adjust quickly (so I've heard).

Thanks for the comment! Enjoy your last few weeks of school!
