My last day of work

The last few days have been wonderful. Today was particularly great. I worked my last shift at the Jordan, and then I met with Katrin for over an hour. She's going to be in Niger on an outreach for 3 months which sounds really exciting. It was really cool to see her again before I leave for the states and she leaves for Africa. I received an e-mail from Daniela the other day and she's leaving for her outreach in Indonesia on Jan 8th. Are these girls having some adventures or what!?

Gepke and the staff had a goodbye party for me today, which was everything a goodbye party should be and more. The best part of the goodbye party was when all my friends prayed for me. They prayed for everything that's been on my mind. I couldn't believe how much they knew about me. God's presence was really heavy; it was beautiful.

After that, some of us went with Benjamin to get falafels, which was quite an experience. The place we went to was in Leidseplein and apparently they have the best falafels in town. Have you ever seen the soup nazi episode of Seinfeld? Well, that's what it was like.

We finished off the evening with hot chocolate and a cookie cake at the Shelter. What an amazing day. My friends made this day so special for me. It was one of the best days I've ever had.

Tomorrow I'll be finishing up my packing, letter writing, shopping, etc. I'll be leaving the Willemstraat around 9:30- 9:45 Tues morning.
