What's new with me?
Well, I'm a violinist again. That's right. I've been playing for a few weeks now with very little pain. It's really exciting. I've been playing a 3 octave G major scale with arpeggios for 2 weeks straight and I've loved every second of it. Scales used to be so mundane, but now they seem to be the most beautiful melody in the world. It just feels so good to play again!
Here's how it all happened... I had this conversation about healing with a guy at church. I totally disagreed with him and his theology, but I decided to give what he was saying a try- at least for a week. I went home and prayed using a lot of visualization. The next week at church I told the guy he was right, and I was healed. Amazing.
I'm getting a new work schedule and as of June 4th I will work 4 days and have 3 off. "Which three days?" you ask. Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Yep, I'll have every weekend off. We're also no longer severely under staffed at work. Things are looking pretty good right now.
My two friends are getting married tomorrow! Woo hoo! I'm so excited for them both! Maybe if you're lucky I'll post some pics from the wedding.
Oh, something else that's cool- I'm starting a bible study here in lil' old Davis. Right now it's just going to be my roommate, a boy from church, maybe the neighbor, and me. I think we're going to study the book of Ephesians.
My little sister, the baby of the family, is graduating from high school on Sun. That's just wrong. I don't know how she got so old so fast.
My car has won me over. I'm no longer harboring a bitter grudge against it for the whole engine light incident.
Well folks, that's about it.
Have a good 'un.

Always good to read from you again, Melissa, especially when it's news like you being reunited with your violin.
Has Ryan L. sent you some of the files that he recorded of our open mic nights? Good times. I'm listening to John Denver right now and trying not to dream music dreams.
