Hey all. I hope you haven't given up on me. I've been meaning to post for a while, but for some reason I can never bring myself to do it.
Work has been going really well. I have learned so much through my job over the last six months. I will be able to take all that I've learned with me wherever I go next. Which brings me to my next subject...
As long as I don't completely screw up my interview, it looks like I will be teaching strings for Ohio County Schools for the 2006-2007 school year. Mr. Belchick took a job in another county, so his position is officially open. At this point, I'm waiting for Ohio County to post the job so I can send in my resume and have an interview. Apparently I have to play a violin concerto, and demonstrate proficiency on the cello, bass, and viola, in addition to fielding all of their questions for the interview process. The slight problem is that I am soooooo rusty! I will have to play the Mozart Violin Concerto in G, which is funny because Mr. Podolski (the guy interviewing me) is the one that taught me this concerto like 10 years ago.
I'm going to put my 2 weeks notice in on Fri. I'm in a tricky situation because I'm quitting my current job before I've even been officially offered an interview for the next job. I don't know if this is stepping out in faith or stupidity.
We took all of our students to church on Sun. and I've had a lot of really good talks with students since then. God is opening doors for me to share my story with students. A few students are on the brink of belief. It's so cool.
Over the next few weeks I'll be packing up my stuff and moving into my parents' house temporarily, preparing for an interview, and preparing for a new lifestyle. Typical, boring stuff.
I'll try to keep you guys updated on how things are going.
