My first day

It seems like I've been having a lot of "first days" lately. I had my first day of work on Wed., then the first day of school yesterday, and then another first day of school today. (Different grade levels came today and yesterday). All went well. I'm excited about how well everything has been going actually.

The bummer...I was supposed to move into my apartment on Wed, Aug 23, but there were fleas. Then I was supposed to move in on Sat, Aug 26, but there were fleas. Now I'm supposed to move in this coming Sat, but there are still fleas! My lease officially starts on Sept 1st- if the fleas aren't gone by then I'm going to try to get out of my lease (and get my money back). Did I mention a water line broke in our basement and the basement was filled with water for a few days? That was a week ago and they still haven't found the leak! Even if it comes to me losing the $500 security deposit, I might forfeit it just to cut myself off from this apartment. It has been nothing but a huge inconvenience.

So all is well with me. I'm excited about my new job, my new coworkers, and my new life. Just not my new apartment.
