I started my job today and it went really well. I got lots of hugs and "congratulations" from my former teachers and from the music teachers in the county. The students don't start school until Mon, so I still have some time to prepare for the year.

I went to my apartment today and signed the lease and paid for September's rent plus a security deposit. Then I found out that my basement is flooded and the flea bombs didn't work... so my apartment is still flea infested. That was all a little discouraging.

The music store I taught for before I worked at Alldredge needs a violin teacher. I called them yesterday and they're hooking me up with a free studio and students. The studio is right down the street from my apartment, so that's convenient.

My dad just brought home pizza and soda, so I'll be getting off now.
