Remember me?
So I am the worst blogger ever.
I'm not going to Montana this summer. After I had been training for a month, Outward Bound contacted me and offered me $500 instead of the $4000 I asked for. I actually thought about going majorly into debt to go on the course, but my family talked me out of it. That was a big bummer. Other opportunities have come up locally though, which in a way is much cooler. I just started going to pool sessions/roll clinics at Wheeling Jesuit University to learn the basics of kayaking. It costs $20 for 10 weeks. I'm meeting local paddlers that I can hit the open water with this spring. Last night I tried to learn how to roll. Doing anything when you are suspended from a boat upsidedown underwater is difficult. Especially when you start to panic and stop thinking about what you are supposed to do- because then you just do everything wrong. I can roll as long as I don't have a paddle in my hand. But as soon as you put a paddle in my hand I do everything wrong. I'm sure I was entertaining to watch.
I'm practicing my violin every day- which is amazing. My playing has a long way to go before I even reach the level I was at 4 years ago, but I can see little improvements which is enough to keep me motivated.
Where is the snow? Where is winter? I know, it's all in Denver. Winter has not yet arrived in Wheeling. Our weather has been in the 50s and 60s all "winter". It's so crazy.
Ok, I'm blank. I don't know what else to write.
Later.

yeah i remember you. it's so amazing that you are playing the violin almost every day. has the snow arrived yet? here we've only had like one cold day. it's like we're skipping winter this year and we're just moving from autumn into spring. i don't mind the temperatures, but it's weird. hey God bless! Freek
